Good Afternoon from Far Sawrey, the rain that has poured down this last few days has finally stopped for a while, the road between Near Sawrey and Hawkshead has had several places where caution was required to pass...

The newspapers are today dominated with stories of terrorists who have tried to blow up cars and airports, its all very worrying.

Several peoperties in the village have not had power this weekend, would not be suprised if the rain had not washed away the power cables!

The wet spell has however made the gardens in the village have a bit of a growing spurt, they all look like very english country gardens! lovely!!!
